It contains really helpful information, including how-to's on how to teach with and without video calls, and help on using Google Classroom, Google Forms, and even how to do a Live Question and Answer session using Google Slides.

Ditch that Textbook is a podcast from Matt Miller, author of the book "Ditch That Textbook!" The goal is to help you teach with less reliance on the textbook through technology, creativity and innovation.
The podcast can be found on most major podcast channels. Each episode is short, usually 5-6 minutes and is usually packed with great information.

TESIC recommends: Screencastify for making learning videos

Interested in making short videos for students to watch? Tutorials, or lessons, or how-to's? Screentastify offers a Chrome extension (A little tool you add to your Chrome browser) that lets you make videos up to 5 minutes in length. You can annotate the videos if you want, and publish them directly to Google Classroom, Youtube, or just download them if you need.

3D Printing Workshops Cancelled

For those of you who have registered or were planning on attending the upcoming 3D printing workshops in St. John's (March 21), Corner Brook (March 28) and Gander (April 4), held by the NLTA Technology Education Special Interest Council and Brilliant Labs, we regret to inform you that we have decided to cancel these sessions as a precautionary measure due to the current situation with the COVID-19 virus.

Let's Tech About It! A new TESIC Podcast

TESIC has started a new podcast, Let's Tech About It! Episodes will be released every two weeks, starting soon. Each episode will focus on a teacher from across the province of Newfoundland and Labrador and how they integrate technology into their teaching practice. You can hear about projects and practices that other teachers are using as well as some tips or tricks they might share.
