TESIC Funding for Professional Learning
Eligible applicants can receive up to a maximum of $500 pp in PL funding. This funding will allow NLTA members to attend professional development opportunities focused on technology in education. This is only available to NLTA members travelling outside the province (or attending virtually/online setting) from September to August. By requesting and receiving the funding, you must be willing to share your learning with the Newfoundland and Labrador Teachers’ Association teaching community.
- Applicants must be current members of the NLTA.
- Conferences/Learning opportunities must be aimed at educators and must focus on using technology in the K-12 school system.
- All applicants must indicate if they are receiving additional sources of funding.
- Preference will be given to persons who have not yet received funding, have prior participation in TESIC initiatives and/or can demonstrate they are Technology Leaders in their school/area.
Applications will be reviewed by the TESIC executive. We will consider the benefits of professional development and how your attendance/learning will benefit our members.
Funding Guidelines for Reimbursement:
Successful applicants are asked to please send original receipts for reimbursement (travel, accommodations and/or registration only). Funds will only be awarded when proof of attendance and necessary receipts are received.
